Taiwan Nurses Association (TWNA), serving the practical needs of nurses for over a century, is the longest-running nursing organization in Taiwan. Facing rapidly changing healthcare needs and priorities, TWNA has devoted to maintaining its strengths, while pursuing further opportunities to help members. In a Board Meeting in July 2007, TWNA passed a resolution to stipulate six TWNA core values, including Professionalism; Visionary Leadership; Partnership; Globalization; Innovation; and Excellence. These are justified based on the followings that TWNA should:

1. provide the most updated services to its members and strengthen its partnership with nursing and medical associations both in Taiwan and worldwide.
2. always base its short-, intermediate- and long-term goals on its vision and innovative ideas.
3. take a leading role in nursing.
4. take care of society's needs.
5. educate its members to provide excellent service to its clients.
